| About Me:
I started off life in Brillion, WI, where my dad owned a hardware store. The family (Dad, Mom, 3 brothers, and I) moved to the Sheboygan area when I was beginning 1st grade. We settled in Sheboygan Falls, where I spent the rest of my childhood attending public and then parochial schools. I graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 1983, and then went on to four years at Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. As I attended high school in Manitowoc, I always thought that this city would be a wonderful place to actually live someday. . . .God truly blessed me with a teaching assignment here at First German. It has been wonderful to work with a variety of pastors and teachers over the years. I feel that I have learned special things from each and every one of them. What a blessing to be part of the First German Congregational Family as well. As time goes by, the encouragement, kindness, support, and laughter adds to my joy in serving. I enjoy the variety of hard working people and the blending of cultures we have at First German. The "mission mindedness" of this congregation reminds me of the words from one of my favorite hymns: Who will go and work today?. . . Here I am-- Send me, send me!
When I am not at First German, you may find me at Manitowoc Lutheran High School watching a sporting event, concert or stage production. It is a treat to see our grade school students continue to blossom and grow in their abilities and in their faith. From late Summer to early Winter (also known as Football Season) I do enjoy treks to Lambeau Field. I've been born and raised as a Packer fan. Thanks, Dad, for signing up for those season tickets back in the 1950s! Thanks, Mom, for sharing those tickets with your children!
