Our Mission

Purpose
Before ascending into heaven, Jesus stated the mission which should occupy His believers until He returns, giving the command, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20). Therefore, First German Evangelical Lutheran Church makes its mission to use the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in its truth and purity in order to nurture the faith of the congregation's members for carrying out the Lord's will and to reach out to others to bring them to faith in their Savior.

Objectives
The primary objectives of this congregation are:
  • To lead sinners to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ by proclaiming the Law and the Gospel.
  • To strengthen believers in faith and sanctification through the Means of Grace (Romans 10:17).
  • To equip believers as disciples, stewards, and witnesses for sharing the Gospel of Jesus with their fellow men (Ephesians 4:11-12).
